LEGAL ALLY

Member of the Bar since 2006, I am a legal ally to Indigenous Peoples and a lecturer at the Faculty of Law at Université Laval.

I bring legal expertise to Indigenous governance and political work, addressing both everyday decision-making and long-term efforts toward self-determination. I am frequently consulted for my expertise in constitutional law and Indigenous governance—a complex field where Indigenous legal traditions intersect with Canadian law.

My legal work centers on supporting the exercise and recognition of First Nations’ inherent right to self-government by providing accessible legal services focused on legal training and capacity-building.

In addition to my legal practice, I teach Indigenous law weekly to future lawyers and graduate students at the Faculty of Law at Université Laval.

I also co-author the chapter on Aboriginal Law in the Collection de droit, the official legal resource used in Québec Bar School training.

I support First Nations in their initiatives to put their laws into writing, from practical rules to full Indigenous constitutions. My legal support respects Indigenous autonomy and remains sensitive to the aspirations and challenges of decolonizing law.
